Job Description

Position overview:  The RFP/Proposal Associate will be responsible for the development of Request for Proposal (RFP) responses and other competitive applications. They will provide critical coordination, development and oversight of all RFP submissions, working in conjunction with departments across the company to ensure that all proposals are developed in a clear, concise and professional manner to drive new business.
 
Specific roles and responsibilities:
 
  • Produce complete, concise and compelling proposals that position Teaching Strategies to win new business.
  • Responsible for the proposal development process from start to finish, working collaboratively with departments across the company to achieve successful results. 
  • Proactively identify RFP opportunities for Teaching Strategies and grant opportunities for Teaching Strategies’ customers and draft proposal language as necessary. Responsible for the transition of contract logistics after successful RFP submissions to ensure all contract requirements are met and delivered.
  • Provide timely and reliable updates to management as necessary.
  • Ensure that all proposals reflect Teaching Strategies’ philosophy and support Teaching Strategies’ business objectives.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:
 
  • 3-5 years of experience in educational RFP/grant writing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related subject highly desired
  • Experience in early childhood education and familiarity with Teaching Strategies preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Essential Job Functions: (e.g. must be able to lift a certain weight, sit for long periods of time, frequent use of computer and telephone, etc.)
 
  • Ability to frequently answer the telephone and communicate verbally
  • Ability to frequently read and understand text via computer and mobile device
  • Ability to frequently stand and sit for extended periods of time based on the task
  • Ability to frequently manipulate computer keyboard, mouse, and mobile device
  • Ability to occasionally travel up to 10% via car, train, or airplane
