Job Description

Mohawk Mountain Assistant Director of Snowsports

Mohawk Mountain is currently recruiting an Assistant Director of Snowsports.  The Mohawk Mountain Assistant Snowsports Director will represent the Snowsports Discovery Center (SDC) to customers and employees and will provide the highest possible customer service.  He/she will be responsible for day to day supervising of the Snowsports Discovery Center and will provide support for SDC staff.  The Assistant Snowsports Director will help to ensure the training of SDC staff.  He/she will work with the Director of Snowsports to provide leadership and direction for the SDC, with the goal of providing the best possible learning environment for clients and their families.  

Requirements

Essential duties and responsibilities

-Assists with staff scheduling

-Provides communications with staff and customers as necessary

-Provides supervisory roles for children’s programs and other areas as needed

-Works with the Director of Snowsports to develop program goals

-Assists in the development of training goals and strategies to help develop instructing staff

-Helps to ensure the quality of instruction and uses all available resources to promote the continued education of the teaching staff

-Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

-Superior organizational and communication skills

-Leadership and supervisory skills

-Minimum PSIA/AASI L2 or equivalent preferred

-Experience working with and training staff preferred

-Racing and or USSA experience a plus

 

Special Considerations

-Must be available from approximately October-March

-Must be available weekends and holidays throughout the season

-Must be able to lift and ski with 50lbs of equipment

-Must be able to work outside in all conditions for long periods of time
