Assist in preparing the restaurant for dining
service by setting up section, including preparing items such as linens,
silverware, and glassware
Greet all guests in a warm, personal, friendly
manner.
Review menus with guests and answer any questions about menu items, offering descriptions and making recommendations.
Inform guests of any daily specials including pricing, if not listed on the
menu. Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking
methods.
Take guests' food and beverage orders and enter
orders into computer for transmittal to kitchen staff.
Check guests' identification to ensure they meet
minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol.
Serve food and beverages to guests, taking extra
care to perform any additional table-side preparation or service as required
for items served.
Describe and recommend wines to guests; bring
selection to the table with appropriate glasses and pour the wine for the
guests.
Check with the guests to ensure that they are
enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Remove dishes and glasses from tables, and take
them to the kitchen for cleaning. Prepare the table for the next guest.
Prepare certain hot and cold non-alcoholic
beverages for guests.
Prepare and present guests' checks, ensuring any
special requests are followed (such as split checks), and collect corresponding
payments.
Assist the entire service team throughout the
meal period to ensure all guest's expectations are exceeded.
Stock service areas with supplies such as
coffee, iced tea, tableware, share plates, silverware, and linens.

Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all
policies regarding scheduling and attendance.
